Ben Roe is an award-winning cinematographer and media specialist with over six years of experience across production and post-production workflows. A graduate of Drexel University’s Cinematography and Video Production program, Ben began his career producing documentary shorts for Philadelphia-based artists, cultural institutions, and nonprofit organizations.

 

In 2023, Ben expanded into commercial production in New York City, joining People Inc. (formerly Dotdash Meredith), where he managed video production for some of the country’s most recognized media brands. In 2025, he became the youngest Studio Manager in People Inc.’s 30-year history, overseeing production operations and creative workflows for more than 40 national brands, including People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, InStyle, Southern Living, and Allrecipes.

 

In 2026, Ben has returned to Philadelphia to support Temple University’s Film and Media Arts department, overseeing production services and educating students during a time of unprecedented growth and expansion for the program. Alongside his work in arts education and production management, Ben continues to work as a freelance cinematographer and collaborate on independent films and commercial productions.
